| The village of Braemar and surrounding countryside falls
within the Grampian Police, South Aberdeenshire Command Area.
The Braemar Police beat area extends between the Glenshee Ski
Centre and the village of Crathie.

Craig McNeill is the resident Police Community Beat
Officer based at Braemar and has held this post since July 2006.
Prior postings have included Portlethen, Stonehaven and
most recently Aboyne.
The post at Braemar is a uniquely challenging one within
Grampian Police as it includes, in addition to the day to day
duties of a Community Beat Officer, policing the Glenshee Ski
Centre and assisting in the organisation of policing the Braemar
Gathering.
Traditionally the Braemar Police Officer has been involved in
the local Mountain Rescue Team and PC McNeill continues this
tradition, being an active member of both the Grampian Police
and Braemar Teams.
