Many visitors to Braemar and particularly to Mar Lodge will have known Sandra. She worked at the Lodge for over forty years looking after its visitors for its various owners, latterly the National Trust for Scotland. She was so much part of Mar Lodge that it is difficult to imagine the place without her ever helpful and cheerful presence. Sandra was also very much part of this community being involved over the years in running a wide variety of local organisations and activities: Youth Club, Badminton Club, Bowling Club, Village Hall, Braemar Community Ltd, Braemar Community Council, to name but a few.

She will be greatly missed and very fondly remembered.
