Glenshee Ski Centre, Cairnwell(2069-3502feet), 9 miles south
of Braemar on A93. 23 Tows and 2 Chair-lifts. 3 Restaurants,
shop & toilets. Ski and Snowboard hire and instruction.
Extensive parking.
With the UK’s largest ski lift system, Glenshee’s
25 miles of piste extend over three valleys and four mountains
over 3,000ft to give extensive and enjoyable skiing and snowboarding.
Nursery slopes adjacent to the main car park are ideal starting
place for beginners. With many lifts starting at car park
level, there is an easy transition to the much larger area
of novice runs. Then, as an intermediate, there are a great
choice of 26 blue and red runs. A further 2 excellent black
runs have been a formidable part of the Scottish experience
for many years for experienced skiers.
